Brittany Cartwright opened up about her recent split from Jax Taylor on her podcast, expressing frustration with trolls who claim the divorce is just a ploy to boost ratings for their reality show, The Valley.
In the latest episode of When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, the 35-year-old reality star asserted, “It’s the furthest thing from that. My decision to file wasn’t made lightly or quickly.”
Cartwright described the current season of the show as “the most difficult season I have ever had to film,” acknowledging that the divorce is a major storyline. She clarified that her intention is not to seek sympathy but to remain authentic with her audience.
“I know that this is the life I chose and I’m so fortunate in many ways,” she said. “But I will always want to be real with y’all.” Cartwright emphasized that leaving a toxic marriage required “courage and strength” and was necessary for her well-being.
She highlighted her three-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, as her primary motivation, stating, “He deserves a happy and healthy mommy.”
