Prince William and Kate Middleton have been advised to honor a significant tradition by establishing a permanent residence in Wales, to align with their royal titles.
Royal commentator Gareth Russell discussed this on GB News, emphasizing the importance of the Prince and Princess of Wales having a home in their principality.
Russell pointed out, “There has been frequent criticism that while the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales are given to the heir apparent, there is often little connection to Wales or time spent there.”
He noted that King Charles had made efforts to address this issue, and it would be “a shame and a mistake” if William and Kate did not follow suit.
This advice comes as the royal family enjoys a summer break in Balmoral, following a challenging year marked by King Charles’s health issues and Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.
