Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, has been pulled into the ongoing royal feud between Prince Andrew and King Charles over the Royal Lodge. Speculation is growing that the Duke and Duchess of York might move to Ferguson’s vacant £4 million central London home, located in Belgravia, as tensions with King Charles escalate.
Ferguson, known as “Fergie,” has been making headlines for her efforts to support her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, during this deepening crisis. Despite her involvement, Andrew continues to resist pressure from the King to vacate his royal residence in Windsor.
The Duchess has come under scrutiny after neighbors claimed her London home has remained empty for a significant period. The two-bedroom Georgian house, a short distance from her daughters’ homes, was purchased by Ferguson two years ago.
Amid security concerns, royal insiders suggest that Andrew may be forced to leave the 30-room Royal Lodge, which he shares with Ferguson, and move to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former residence, Frogmore Cottage. Despite this, Andrew is reportedly refusing to vacate the Royal Lodge, citing the lease he signed in 2003, which has over five decades remaining.
According to official Land Registry documents, Ferguson cannot sell the London home without written consent from her daughters, possibly because they contributed to the purchase. Speculation continues that Sarah and Andrew might return the Royal Lodge to the monarch to secure the future of their daughters within the royal family.
