Fans were left astonished after discovering a tantalizing Deadpool variant that didn’t make it to the big screen: Wolverpool or Deadverine!
Ryan Reynolds recently gave fans a glimpse of this epic concept art on his Instagram story, showcasing the creative work of artist David Masson. The concept art features a striking character fusion, combining Deadpool’s iconic costume with an upgraded Wolverine mask and Wolverine’s legendary adamantium claws.
Despite the intriguing nature of Wolverpool, the concept was ultimately not included in the film, according to the artist.
The reveal of this unseen Deadpool variant sparked a wave of fan reactions:
“This is so sick! Would have been cool to have a Poolverine in the Deadpool corps lol,” one fan commented.
Another fan lamented, “This would have been an amazing addition.”
A third expressed disappointment, asking, “Why don’t we have this in the movie [crying emoji]?”
In addition to Wolverpool, Masson also shared concept art for another variant, Punkpool, featuring Deadpool in a spiked leather jacket with an edgy, anarchist vibe.
While Deadpool & Wolverine did feature a variety of stellar Deadpool variants, including Lady Deadpool, voiced by Blake Lively, and NicePool, played by Reynolds, the idea of Wolverpool remains a captivating “what could have been” for fans.
