Sarah Ferguson has addressed ongoing speculation about Prince Andrew’s potential departure from the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Despite their divorce in 1996, Sarah and Prince Andrew maintain an amicable relationship and continue to live together.
In an interview with Samara García Mendez from ¡HOLA! TV, Sarah responded to rumors suggesting that King Charles has instructed Andrew to vacate the 98-acre estate, which he has occupied for the past 20 years.
Reports indicate that Prince Andrew, who has a lease on the property lasting another 55 years, has no plans to leave. There has also been speculation about a possible move to Frogmore Cottage, previously occupied by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Sarah initially declined to confirm or deny the rumors, advising, “Don’t always believe what you read.” When pressed further, she admitted to being unaware of any discussions about the Royal Lodge and noted, “I don’t know. I take every day as it comes.”
In early 2023, King Charles reduced Prince Andrew’s annual allowance from £249,000, making it financially challenging for him to maintain the Royal Lodge. This reduction followed Andrew’s controversial BBC interview in 2019 and his subsequent out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre in February 2022 over allegations of sexual misconduct.
Additionally, rumors suggest that Prince William may be pushing for Prince Andrew’s eviction from the Royal Lodge, driven by personal grievances and dissatisfaction with how the situation has been managed.
