King Charles received shocking news as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle concluded their four-day headline-making tour of Colombia.
For those unaware, Virginia Ogilvy, Countess of Airlie and a close friend of the late Queen Elizabeth, passed away at the age of 91.
The Monarch expressed his heartfelt tribute to one of the late Queen’s most trusted confidants.
Buckingham Palace released a statement saying, “His Majesty was deeply saddened to hear the news, having known Lady Airlie for so much of his life and having greatly appreciated her immense devotion and dedicated service to Her late Majesty over so many years.”
This sad announcement coincided with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip to South America, which reportedly left King Charles “furious.”
Previously, Tom Quinn told *The Mirror* that both King Charles and Prince William “can’t stop the tour from going ahead, but they are furious that, after agreeing to step down as working Royals, Meghan and Harry have once again broken the agreement.”
The royal commentator noted that the working royals are extremely upset, feeling that the California-based couple is “trying to cash in on their royal status to compensate for the failure of their business ventures.”
