Arlington police are seeking information on two drivers involved in a road rage incident Wednesday morning that led to a five-car pileup and resulted in two people being hospitalized.
Police responded to the crash on eastbound Interstate 20 between Cooper Street and Matlock Road around 8:25 a.m., where a pickup truck was found overturned on its side and an SUV had flipped over.
Witnesses reported that the incident began with a road rage altercation between two drivers. One of the drivers reportedly tried to “brake check” the other, causing a chain reaction where vehicles behind them swerved and collided to avoid a crash.
The collision involved five vehicles, and while two people sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital, the drivers involved in the road rage did not stop at the scene. Police currently have limited information about these drivers.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with video or information about the incident to contact the Arlington Police Department’s non-emergency line at 817-274-4444.
