HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police are investigating the death of a man found shot inside a vehicle in southwest Houston.
The Houston Police Department reported that officers responded to a call for assistance from a firefighter at 1175 Edgebrook around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
According to Lt. Ignacio Izaguirre, the deceased man, who had gunshot wounds, was discovered on the passenger side of a Kia SUV in the Fiesta parking lot.
“We know the shooting didn’t occur in this parking lot. We believe it happened somewhere else. We don’t know the motive, but they did drive to this parking lot, and the driver contacted HFD. That’s when our officers arrived,” Izaguirre explained.
A person of interest was detained at the scene, and police are investigating the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
