The Mansfield Police Department is seeking public assistance in locating a suspect who was caught on camera stealing packages from a home earlier this month.
Surveillance images released on social media show a man taking two packages from a residence on the 900 block of Hiltron Drive. The department also shared a photo of the suspect’s vehicle.
Following Amazon Prime Day, North Texas law enforcement is warning residents about an increase in package thefts, commonly referred to as “porch piracy.” With more packages left unattended, thieves are more likely to target them.
To protect against theft, authorities advise scheduling deliveries for times when someone can sign for them and using package pickup options offered by companies like Amazon.
