HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A woman in the Spring Branch neighborhood is frustrated with the frequent gunfire in her area.
Patricia Wood, who lives near Westwood Elementary, says she hears gunshots multiple times a week.
Earlier this year, a bullet went through her bathroom window, causing her to fear for her safety if the shooting doesn’t stop.
“It’s just not right that you live in a neighborhood where your children have to be afraid to even go out their backdoor to play on their trampoline,” Wood said.
She believes the shots are coming from the Shadowdale Oaks Apartments.
According to police, they have received 60 reports regarding the Shadowdale Oaks Apartments since February, but only two of those calls involved gunshots. The other calls were related to assaults, burglaries, and thefts.
