HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are searching for one person missing after a tugboat overturned in the waters of east Harris County on Friday afternoon.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, five people were on board the tugboat when it capsized just before 3 p.m. in the 16500 block of Peninsula Boulevard near San Jacinto Boulevard.
Four of the five people were rescued from the water and stabilized.
A Coast Guard helicopter, boats, and a Harris County dive team are searching for the missing individual.
The USCG credited a good Samaritan with assisting in the recovery of the four rescued passengers.
