Trinity Metro On-Demand is launching a new rideshare pilot program in partnership with Via in Mansfield, starting on June 15. During the initial phase until September 14, rides will be free of charge from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
After the promotional period, passengers will pay a $2 fee for one-way trips or $4 for a day pass, which includes transfers between TEXRail, Trinity Metro buses, and Trinity Metro On-Demand rides.
Key destinations within Mansfield covered by the service include Historic Downtown Mansfield, Mansfield Town Center, TCC Southeast Campus, Mansfield High School, Legacy High School, Mansfield Senior Lifestyles, Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park, Walmart, and Kroger.
This rideshare program operates by matching passengers heading in the same direction into one vehicle. Bookings must be made through the Trinity Metro On-Demand app.
Additionally, Trinity Metro On-Demand is transitioning rideshare services in the Alliance area from Lyft to Via.
