Dallas residents seeking financial assistance for home improvements can now participate in workshops conducted by the city. These workshops are designed to help residents understand and navigate the Home Improvement and Preservation Program (HIPP), which will accept applications from August 19 to August 30.
The HIPP offers three different home repair programs that provide grants or forgivable loans ranging from $10,000 to $24,000. These programs are aimed at low- and moderate-income families and can assist with emergency repairs, addressing existing code violations, or tackling issues with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, or structural elements.
To support applicants in completing the HIPP MSRP home repair application, the city is organizing workshops where residents can get their questions answered and receive hands-on assistance. Over two dozen workshops will be held between July 15 and August 16, with some sessions available in both English and Spanish.
For those interested, a full schedule of these workshops can be found [here](link to the schedule).
