The National Weather Service has confirmed that a brief EF-0 tornado touched down in Frisco, near UNT Frisco, during Thursday evening’s storms.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the NWS stated that their damage survey team investigated the area in Frisco on Friday and found evidence of the tornado. The maximum winds were recorded at 85 mph, and the tornado’s total path was less than a quarter mile. Fortunately, only minor damage was observed.
Thursday afternoon and evening saw storms passing through North Texas, with many residents reporting hail.
