HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A cold front will blow through Southeast Texas overnight, ushering cooler temperatures for the rest of Thanksgiving week.
Those breezy winds will drag in much cooler air for Tuesday with temperatures lingering in the 50s all day! It should be dry, but there will still be clouds hanging around behind the front.
What’s the coldest it will get behind this front?
Temperatures both Wednesday and Thursday morning will drop into the low-to-mid 40s, which will be the coldest we get behind this front.
Does Thanksgiving still look cool and dry?
Cool, yes. Dry? Not necessarily. A disturbance now looks to blow in on Thanksgiving Day, pumping scattered light rain showers over the chilly air. We are now predicting a 40% chance for light to moderate rain showers in the second half of the day with temperatures stuck in the 40s and 50s all day. At this time it appears all the heavy rain associated with this weather system will stay offshore.
Will there be more rain after Thanksgiving into the weekend?
All of Friday and most all of Saturday now look to be dry! So you shouldn’t have to plan around any rainy weather if you’re hitting the shopping malls after Thanksgiving Day. Until Sunday, that is. It appears that the week after Thanksgiving will kick off with another chilly, wet weather system that brings widespread showers and highs in the 50s as we head back to work and school.
