HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — We enjoyed a healthy does of sunshine Wednesday, but the low deck of clouds is rolling back Thursday.
We’ll start Thursday with a mostly cloudy to overcast sky with temperatures at sunrise around 60 degrees. The deck of clouds will break apart as we go through the day, and where the sun comes out, temperatures will warm into the low 70s. If it stays cloudy in your neighborhood all day, then you might not climb out of the 60s.
How does the weather look this weekend?
Saturday looks delightful at this time, with pleasant temperatures in the 70s and lots of sunshine. A weather system passing to our north on Sunday will lift a warm front overhead, pushing clouds and rain showers through Southeast Texas. We are still predicting a 40% chance for rain on Sunday, and those chances may go up. Temperatures will again be in a seasonal range with lows in the 50s and highs in the mid 70s. This weather system is expected to bring an additional chance for rain early Monday. Clouds are expected to linger into Tuesday, but it will likely be dry.
Does Thanksgiving still looks cool and sunny?
Yes! Assuming the next rainy weather system clears out on schedule, we should get really nice weather to follow for Thanksgiving Day. At this time, we are predicting sunshine with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s, but given that Thanksgiving is still about a week away, much is subject to change. We’ll keep you posted if the outlook changes in any appreciable way!
