Denton police on Monday said they are searching for the driver of a tractor-trailer who fatally struck a 60-year-old man last month.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sept. 24, officers were dispatched to the northbound service road of Interstate 35 near West University Drive, where someone reported an auto-pedestrian crash.
The pedestrian, identified as Christopher Yarmie, 60, died at a hospital, police said. The driver, who was in a dark-colored Peterbilt truck cab with a livestock trailer, left the area before authorities arrived.
In a Monday news release, Denton police released a image of the suspect vehicle, which was last seen westbound on West University Drive.
