Construction will start in October for a mixed-use project with 5,000 square feet of retail space and 320 apartment units in Anna.
Irving-based apartment builder JPI is behind the $80 million project, which will be located on 11 acres at E. Finley Blvd. and Sharp Street, according to recent records filed with the state.
Amenities will include stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, private yards, a resort style pool with cabanas, a top-of-the-line fitness center with yoga studio, a community park with a playground and a dog park, according to the city’s economic development director Joey Grisham.
The project will also include co-working space for the residents and private office suites available to rent.
Grisham said the first units will be available for rent in April 2025.
Other projects by JPI in Anna include Parmore Anna Senior Living (185 units) and Jefferson Waters Creek (325 units).
With about 25,000 residents, Anna has seen its population triple since 2010 and the town is expected to reach have 45,000 residents by 2030.Sandwiched between McKinney and Sherman, Anna showcases its affordability and location as major reasons for explosive growth.
