A woman was fatally shot in central Oak Cliff Thursday morning, Dallas police say.
About 11:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Nicholson Drive, near West Illinois Avenue, where according to police, an argument between a woman and 29-year-old Eric Thomas escalated into gunfire.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital where she died of her injuries, police said.
Thomas was booked into the Dallas County jail, where he faces a charge of murder in the slaying. He remained in custody Friday, but jail records show his bail has not been set and it was unclear whether he has an attorney.
