HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Thunderstorms will continue to move across the area during the early morning hours Friday. Winds will gust to 40 mph with the strongest storms. There could be some quarter size hail as well.
The storms will come to an end as a cool front passes around midday.

The main threats with the line are gusty winds up to 40 mph and hail up to quarter size. Some brief street flooding and lightning will also be a possibility with the storms.

It will bring down temperatures a bit for the weekend with highs in the low to mid 70s. In addition to slightly cooler air, it will be drier Saturday with a lot more sunshine in the forecast.
