HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Warm and humid weather is returning to Southeast Texas. Thick fog is along the Coast and some fog may form farther inland tonight and Sunday morning. We should see temperatures around 80 degrees or warmer by Sunday afternoon. We are tracking a weak cold front Monday morning to drop the humidity.
Is warm and humid weather back?
Well…only through early Monday morning. We could see temperatures near 80 degrees or higher Sunday afternoon with high humidity. A weak cold front will bring slightly cooler and less humid weather Monday.
Is there any rain coming?
Most places will see very little rain anytime soon. Some spotty sprinkles and drizzle are possible Sunday morning. There might be a shower or sprinkle in spots Monday with a weak cold front. The best rain and possible storm chance could be late Thursday with a cold front.
Are we done with freezing weather?
We still see signs that much colder air could return to Texas in March just before Spring Break, and it is possible freezing temperatures could make it all the way to Houston. If you already put plants in the ground or are planning to do so soon, just be prepared for the possibility that you’ll need to protect them from a freeze or frost sometime in March.
