Plano residents should prepare for trash and recycling delays, city officials announced Monday.
As severe winter weather hits North Texas, residents are asked to place their carts at their collection points until the storm passes. Trash pick-up will occur as soon as driving conditions are safe, according to the city.
Recreation centers will delay opening until 9 a.m. Tuesday and libraries will open as scheduled at 9 a.m. Plano’s Day Labor Center will be closed on Tuesday.
Jury trials scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 1 have been cancelled. They will be rescheduled, and jurors will be reset, city officials said. To reschedule, jurors may contact clerk’s office at 972-941-2199 or juror@plano.gov.
All Plano recreation centers and libraries closed at 5 p.m. Monday. The Municipal Clerk’s office closed at 3 p.m. City officials said residents should contact the the clerk’s office for closure updates before appearing on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Plano ISD cancelled all after school activities scheduled for Monday and cancelled school and activities for Tuesday. Plano’ Teen Court Session scheduled for Monday has also been cancelled as a result, the city announced.
