HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It was a loud morning with storms rumbling through much of SE Texas. We are now just left with overcast skies and some light, isolated rain.
Monday will be a dreary one with cloudy skies continuing and a slight chance for rain. Highs should top out in the low to mid 70s.
A stronger cold front brings cooler air to SE Texas midweek.
How cold will it get behind the stronger cold front next week?
The cold front arriving next Tuesday night has the potential to drop highs into the 50s and with lows in the 30s. It will mark a pattern change that could bring chilly weather all the way to Christmas Day. We’ll see another reinforcing push of cold air on Thursday keeping it cool through the weekend into the start of the following week.
Could we see any severe weather Tuesday?
It is a possibility that we could see a couple of strong storms Tuesday but the greater threat resides over Louisiana.
