HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — I hope you enjoyed the slightly cooler temperatures we had Sunday because the warmth will be returning tomorrow. A warm front will move north overnight into Monday morning bringing back the moisture, warm temperatures, and fog.
We should start off in the mid 60s around daybreak Monday and make our way up to near 80 degrees by the afternoon. We also could start off the day with some sea fog, low clouds, and a few showers. Fog should burn off inland as we head into the mid to late morning. We could also see some breaks in the clouds in the afternoon.
How long will the warm air and sea fog stick around?
Most of next week should be on the warm, humid side for December standards. We predict a few days with highs in the low 80s and lows only around 70. Stronger winds should keep the sea fog from getting too dense, but the sea fog will be around for much of the work week. It won’t be until next weekend that we cool off again and push the sea fog back into the Gulf of Mexico.
Do we have any fronts in the forecast?
We have a weak front moving in Thursday into Friday which could bring us a slight chance of rain and some slightly cooler temperatures. We are also watching for the potential of a stronger front that could move through next weekend into early next week.
