HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Less moisture to work with the next few days means that rain chances will be 20% or less through Thursday.
Less rain means more sunshine and hotter temps. Triple digit temperatures are back in the forecast again.
The heat will be our main concern as highs top out in the upper 90s to around 100 and heat index values reach to near 107.
Any more heavy storms on the horizon?
Our next decent chance of rain comes at the end of the week as a disturbance and more moisture moves in. Before Friday, we could see isolated rain but chances will be on the slim side.
Are we done with 100 degree weather?
Unfortunately, no. A few of us could top out at 100 Tuesday and more of us could hit 100 on Wednesday. We should see temperatures drop into the mid 90s by Friday as cloud cover and rain chances increase.
Is there anything worth watching in the tropics?
Another large Saharan dust cloud is moving across the Atlantic Ocean, which is keeping the Atlantic quiet. But! We are heading into the peak months of the Atlantic hurricane season so it’s possible we could see activity ramping up within the next few weeks.
