Three men have been arrested for the February shooting of two 17-year-olds in DeSoto who drove to a Dallas gas station to call for help, DeSoto police said.
Police arrested Vito Disce Green, 18, Roosevelt Jerome King, 19, and Malik Jackson, 24, on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. All three are DeSoto residents.
Jackson was booked into jail March 4 and is being held without bail. King was booked into jail April 8 and has a total bond of $200,000.
The teens, a Dallas boy and a Garland girl, were reportedly shot about 9 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 1400 block of Deborah Avenue, near North Hampton Road, police said. The two drove across the city line in Dallas to a gas station where the girl called 911 to report that she and her boyfriend had been shot, an earlier DeSoto police news release said.
The teens were taken to a Dallas hospital. The next day, police said the boy was in critical condition and the girl was stable. Police did not release the teens’ names and the boy’s current condition is unknown.
