Firefighters extinguished a blaze Friday evening at a high-rise apartment building in downtown Dallas.
No injuries were reported in the blaze at the Manor House apartments in the 1200 block Commerce Street, at Field Street.
About 80 firefighters responded about 6:30 p.m. to the fire, which was extinguished within the hour, Dallas-Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said.

Residents self-evacuated as plumes of black smoke were seen rising into the sky from the fire, which appeared to be burning on the top floor of the 25-story building. Evans said the fire started in the building’s community room and that no apartments were damaged.
It was unclear how the fire started, and fire officials were investigating.
