The mysterious case of an alleged $850,000 digital currency robbery at Karachi Airport has taken a new turn, as the young victim has officially recorded his statement with the police. In his testimony, he revealed ongoing harassment and fears for his safety.
SSP Malir, Abdul Khaliq Pirzada, confirmed that the victim’s statement has been recorded and that other evidence is being collected. He stated that, in compliance with a court order, a Grade 17 officer has been assigned to the inquiry, and a full report will be submitted to the court upon completion.
Meanwhile, the victim made serious claims in his statement, alleging, “I am being followed (surveilled), and I am still receiving threatening calls.” He further claimed that his email account and WhatsApp have been hacked, adding to his distress.
The young man urged the police to take immediate action and secure the CCTV footage from the airport. He expressed a critical concern that the video record would be erased if 30 days passed.
He insisted, “The people who robbed me can be identified from the cameras at Karachi Airport.” The victim also alleged that an edited video was previously submitted in court, which only showed him sitting in one place for 45 minutes.
