Punjab Police has released statistics on rape and gang-rape cases in Lahore. According to the police report, 591 rape cases and 40 gang-rape cases were registered in various police stations in Lahore this year. The statistics state that 142 rape cases were registered in Saddar and Model Town, 132 in Cantt, 65 in Iqbal Town, 60 in Civil Lines, and 50 in City Division. In addition, 11 gang-rape cases were registered in Saddar, 9 in Cantt, 7 in Model Town, 7 in Iqbal Town, 4 in Civil Lines, and 2 in City Division.
The spokesperson of Motorway Police stated that three people were injured in the accident and were shifted to the hospital.
