In a move aimed at streamlining procedures and enhancing citizen services, the Punjab government has eliminated the need for citizens to visit police stations or service centers to report lost documents. The Pakistan App, launched by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, enables citizens to register lost documents, including identity cards, passports, driving licenses, and other essential documents, from the comfort of their homes.
According to officials, the app will not only facilitate the reporting of lost documents but also issue an FIR (First Information Report) to the complainant. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to leverage modern technology to create ease for the public.
In a statement, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the primary objective of the Pakistan App is to make services more accessible to citizens using modern technology. She emphasized that the government’s top priority is to lead Punjab on the path of innovation and progress.
The Pakistan App will not only save citizens time and resources but also enable them to register lost documents more efficiently. The app is designed to provide citizens with a seamless experience, making it easier for them to access essential services.
