According to the All Pakistan Sarraf Association, the price of gold per tola rose by 3,000 rupees to Rs. 499,662. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by 2,572 rupees to Rs. 426,664. In contrast, the global gold market saw a 30-dollar increase, with the price of gold per ounce reaching $4,753.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) also released its weekly update, showing that the 100-index increased by 11% over the past week. This is in line with the expectation of a 6.4% inflation rate for the fiscal year 2026. On Monday, the 100-index closed at 1,65,517 points.
The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) also saw a significant increase, with the 100-index rising to 1,65,811 points. This is a result of the better supply of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), according to Ali Haider, the leader of the LPG Association. The prices of gold in the stock markets of Pakistan are now reversing their trend.
Despite the ceasefire in the US-Iran conflict, the Asian stock markets are experiencing a negative trend. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also announced a decrease in the growth of remittances, with a monthly decline of 16.5% and a yearly decline of 5.5%. The prices of crude oil have also decreased by up to 15%, according to industry sources.
