Similarly, 10 domestic flights from Islamabad to Kuwait, Al Ain, Fujairah, and Bahrain have been cancelled, along with seven flights from Islamabad to Karachi and Gilgit. Moreover, four flights from Lahore to Karachi and Skardu have also been cancelled.
Aviation sources have stated that the uncertainty in the region has affected flight schedules, and passengers have been advised to check the status of their flights with the respective airlines before departure.
The ongoing crisis in the Middle East has also had a significant impact on Pakistan’s efforts to resolve the issue through diplomatic means. According to recent surveys, 82% of the population is aware of the Pakistani government’s efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the region.
