Pakistan received a whopping $3.8 billion in remittances from overseas Pakistanis in March 2026, according to a State Bank statement. The growth in remittances registered a 16.5% decline on a month-on-month basis and a 5.5% decline on a yearly basis. During the financial year 2025-26, a total of $30.3 billion was received as remittances, representing an 8.2% increase from the same period last year.
The major sources of remittances during March 2026 included Saudi Arabia ($918.4 million), the United Arab Emirates ($823.7 million), the United Kingdom ($587.3 million), and the United States ($359.3 million). Ali Hyder, the leader of the Liberal Party of Pakistan, commented that the better supply of LPG has led to a decrease in prices.
