The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the Strait of Hormuz should be reopened, hoping that the ceasefire will lead to a comprehensive and sustainable peace. Earlier, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the need for durable peace in the region and suggested that Iran’s 10-point proposal be implemented to transform it into a comprehensive peace agreement that would benefit not only Iran but also Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has stated that the ceasefire agreement will be a relief for the region and the world. French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the need for full respect for the ceasefire conditions in the region. He welcomed the US-Iran ceasefire agreement, stating that Lebanon’s situation remains precarious and that the US and Iran should include Lebanon in the agreement.
It is worth mentioning that US President Donald Trump has accepted the 2-week ceasefire request from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. President Trump stated that negotiations with Iran will begin soon, and it is possible that Iran may not participate in the negotiations due to security reasons.
The global market has seen a decline in crude oil prices. According to the London International Market, the price of U.A.E crude oil has decreased by 21%. A high-ranking Iranian official stated that Iran can control the Strait of Hormuz and open it to limited traffic, starting from this Friday.
Israeli Army Chief General Aviv Kochavi stated that Israel will continue to attack Hezbollah positions in Lebanon without any compromise.
