In Zimbabwe, the Iranian embassy wrote “Key Lost” in response to Trump’s demand to open the Strait of Hormuz. Similarly, in Bulgaria, a cartoon depicted Trump stuck in the narrow waters of the strait. In Tajikistan, the embassy created a meme showing Trump with a “bad guy” label on his forehead, implying that his aggressive behavior was the cause of the tensions.
In Indonesia, the Iranian embassy shared a video of US planes flying into Iran and then exploding, poking fun at Trump’s claims. In Armenia, a video linked Trump’s war-driven policies to the global energy crisis. As the situation escalated, Iranian citizens took to the streets to protect their country’s power plants and bridges.
In Bahrain, the US embassy suspended its consular services, while the US government advised its citizens in the country to seek safe locations. Qatar expressed support for mediation efforts led by Pakistan. The British news agency reported that Iran will not open the Strait of Hormuz based on empty promises.
As the deadline for a military strike looms near, Pakistan and Egypt have intensified efforts for a ceasefire.
