Quetta Gladiators, who were put into bat, scored 167 runs, with Steven Smith contributing significantly to their innings. He scored 53 runs, with Shan Masood scoring 46 runs. However, Multan Sultans’ spinners held their ground, limiting the Gladiators to 2 wickets for 47 runs in 6 overs. The turning point came when Hassan Nawaz dropped a caught-and-bowled chance, allowing the Gladiators to recover.
Saud Shakeel, accompanied by Hassan Nawaz, formed an essential partnership, scoring 55 runs. Saud Shakeel scored 56 runs off 41 balls, while Hassaan Nawaz remained unbeaten. However, Multan Sultans’ bowlers, led by Mohammad Nawaz and Arfeen Khan, took wickets, slowing down the Gladiators’ momentum.
