Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has announced that financial assistance will be provided to farmers holding up to 25 acres of land. According to her statement, a subsidy of Rs. 150 per liter will be given to farmers for every liter of diesel used for farming, provided that the farmer is registered in the excise department. Maryam Nawaz expressed her concern that the global crisis has led to an increase in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan.
The Punjab Chief Minister also stated that she will personally oversee the transparent distribution of the subsidy. She emphasized the importance of safeguarding the rights of farmers and vowed to stand by them in this matter. The CM also announced the launch of the “Aware Fuel Support Scheme” in accordance with the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Shehbaz Sharif.
Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, stated that India is struggling with chaos and anxiety due to the ongoing war imposed by the United States and Israel on Iran. In a separate statement, the Interior Minister said that the country’s essential requirements are being met, and there are sufficient fuel reserves in the country. The Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Allama Tahir Ashrafi, praised Pakistan’s efforts to prevent war by playing a positive role.
Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, revealed that there are 470 government buses operating in the province, while a total of 11,000 buses are in operation. In another incident, a rickshaw collided with a car in Lahore and resulted in the death of two people.
