The Sindh Education Board’s Inspector for Schools and Colleges, Ahmed Khan Chhoto, has been transferred to the Karachi Matric Board just four days before the annual matriculation exams. This transfer comes after Chhoto was previously appointed as the Inspector for the Karachi Intermediate Board. However, he faced difficulties in joining due to strong resistance from board employees and was eventually sent back. The Karachi Matric Board is the largest board in Pakistan, with over four lakh students appearing for the matriculation exams.
Interestingly, all the positions, including controllers, secretaries, and audit officers, have been standardized in all Sindh educational boards, which have been sent to the provincial cabinet for approval. However, despite the presence of eligible candidates for the post of controller, the Sindh Education Board’s Inspector for Schools and Colleges has been appointed at the Karachi Matric Board, which is surprising.
This development becomes even more complicated, especially at a time when a new grading system has been introduced, and the admit cards for the Karachi Matric Board exams, starting from 7th April, have not been issued yet.
