The Argentine government has designated Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. According to a foreign news agency, the move was made in response to pressure from the US administration on allied countries.
Argentina’s decision comes in the context of the IRGC’s support for Hezbollah, which was accused of carrying out the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires. The Israeli government claims that Mehdi Faiyaz was targeted during an operation in the Iranian city of Mahalat.
The decision was made due to the IRGC’s support for Hezbollah in Lebanon. The statement said that Argentina can take financial sanctions and other legal measures against the IRGC after this decision. The IRGC and Hezbollah have already been designated as terrorist groups by the US and some other countries. The US State Department has notified the signatories of the Board of Peace Charter, which is a key step in the process.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, responded to Trump’s threat of sending him back in the stone age by saying, “Listen carefully, I have been in the battlefield with a rifle since I was 18 years old.” The IRGC claims that the US and Israel’s attack on the Pasteur Institute was in response to the Iranian attacks on the US.
The US and Israel attacked Dr. Kamal Khazrazi’s home in Tehran, where his wife was killed, and Dr. Khazrazi was seriously injured and later put into a coma. China has stated that if Iran continues to wage war, it will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened, and Iran should immediately cease hostilities.
Austria has refused to allow the US to use its airspace for attacks on Iran. Congresswoman Yasmin Ansari called Trump’s threat to send Iran back to the stone age “extremely reprehensible and terrifying.” Donald Trump said that these are the same people who treated his wife very badly, and their faces are still not right.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh described the US-Israeli attack on the Iranian Pasteur Institute as a “shameful” act. According to a British newspaper report, the new pipeline will bypass the Iranian-controlled chokepoint at the Strait of Hormuz.
Amir Hatami warned that if any enemy launches a ground attack on Iran, it will be completely destroyed. The spokesperson for the Khameini Central Headquarters said that the war in the Middle East will continue until the US is forced to surrender and disarm.
Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ebrahim Raisi, is safe and unharmed, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said, despite the US-Israeli airstrikes. According to Israeli media reports, a rocket hit the city of Kirit Shmona on the border, and the construction of a new international airport and metro system in Mecca is underway, which aims to provide better travel facilities for millions of pilgrims and Saudi citizens.
