Lahore’s Ganga Ram Hospital Embroiled in Blood Bank Scandal
A recent video has surfaced showing a security guard at Lahore’s Ganga Ram Hospital collecting blood samples from patients. According to Medical Superintendent Dr. Arif, the hospital administration was quick to act and removed the involved staff members following the revelation. In an effort to investigate the matter, a three-member inquiry committee has been formed. Led by Dr. Zill-e-Huma, Additional Medical Superintendent, the committee will probe the incident, which involved a supervisor and a security guard. The hospital administration has also directed a private security company to pay a fine of Rs 50,000 for its poor performance.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s armed forces participated in a joint naval exercise with China, dubbed “Sea Guardian 4,” in Karachi. The exercise, which took place from March 25 to April 1, included a five-day visit to the Karachi Port and a two-day exercise in the North Arabian Sea.
