Pakistan’s aviation sector has been significantly impacted by the ongoing regional tensions, with over 2,434 flights canceled in the past 31 days. The latest development comes as the country’s airports have canceled 40 flights bound for the Middle East on Monday.
In Karachi, 15 flights to Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Dubai, Riyadh, and others have been canceled. Similarly, Islamabad’s airport has canceled six flights to Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Kuwait, while Lahore’s airport has canceled six flights to Doha and Dubai.
Peshawar’s airport has canceled 10 flights to Doha, Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, while Sialkot’s airport has canceled two flights to Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi. The Ministry of Finance has released a monthly economic report, which highlights a 7.5-8.5% increase in inflation and a 10.5% rise in remittances for the first eight months of the current fiscal year.
The new price of milk has been fixed at Rs. 240 per liter, up from Rs. 220. The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority has issued a notification to resume educational activities.
