In his address to the gathering, Trump said that the Iranian leadership has expressed a desire for him to become the Supreme Leader, but he has declined. Trump stated that he wants to achieve a deal with Iran but is afraid to speak openly due to the ongoing threat from the country.
“America has stopped eight wars, and we have won one,” Trump said. “I would much rather not be the leader of any country, including Iran. They want me to be their leader, and I said no, thank you. I don’t want to be the leader of Iran.”
It is worth noting that after the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei last month, his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, was appointed as the Supreme Leader. However, since the war began, he has not appeared in public, and there have been reports of his injuries.
On this occasion, Trump also claimed that the United States has achieved significant success in the Middle East, with behind-the-scenes negotiations ongoing with Iran. However, Iran has denied any form of dialogue.
