The United States is reportedly considering sending thousands of additional troops to the Middle East, according to two well-informed individuals who spoke to the British news agency Reuters. These individuals, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that the Pentagon is planning to deploy thousands of personnel from the 82nd Airborne Division to the region. However, they did not provide further details on the timing and location of the deployment.
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has raised concerns that the situation is spiraling out of control, with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warning that the world is facing a growing threat of a large-scale war. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister has confirmed that the country is in close contact with its neighbors, including Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who has held meetings with his counterparts in the region.
