Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has stated that the Afghan Taliban’s spokesperson has shared a three-year-old image to level allegations against Pakistan. The ministry presented a fact-check in a statement issued from Islamabad, stating that the Afghan Taliban’s spokesperson has used an old image to blame Pakistan for recent casualties. They claimed that this move is an intentional attempt to spread false information and confuse the public opinion, presenting the image as evidence of recent incidents, which dates back to May 2023. The ministry’s statement further added that the image was originally shared by the Afghan Taliban’s Ministry of Interior.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also stated that using old visual content to support current allegations is a way to mislead people and create confusion about the actual facts. They have dismissed such claims as false and based on deception.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that he will speak to Imran Khan’s children on the phone on Eid. The team has started gathering facts and records, and a fair and transparent fact-finding report will be ensured. According to a notification by the Federal Aviation Authority, Indian airlines have been banned from flying over Pakistani airspace for another month. The Chief Minister of Balochistan has stated that the terrorists are exploiting Baloch women. The anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi has allowed the absence of Alima Khan from the court.
