A recent train accident in the Larkana division of Pakistan’s railway network has left a significant impact on train services. According to reports, the Shalimar Express, which was traveling from Karachi to Lahore, collided with a goods train at the Lakharo railway station in Larkana. The accident caused damage to the railway engine and some carriages, but fortunately, no casualties were reported. The train guard was safely rescued from the affected carriage.
The Pakistan Railways spokesperson attributed the accident to a point or a piece of debris on the track, which led to the collision. After the track was cleared, the Shalimar Express resumed its journey to its destination. An investigation has been launched by the railway authorities to determine the cause of the incident.
Separately, Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, announced that he would call his children on the phone on Eid day from his founding party, PTI. Meanwhile, tensions between Israel and the US have escalated, and Iran has vowed to take action.
