Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that five Khawarij terrorists, who were operating under Indian patronage, have been killed in a recent operation. According to an ISPR statement, the security forces conducted the operation in Lakki Marwat on March 15, based on intelligence information about the presence of Indian proxies in the area. The statement revealed that during the operation, effective targeting of Khawarij hideouts was achieved, resulting in the death of five terrorists after an intense exchange of fire. The ISPR statement also confirmed that the killed terrorists were affiliated with the Indian-backed Khawarij group, which had been involved in the supply of arms and ammunition to the group.
The statement further revealed that the killed terrorists were involved in several terrorist activities in the region, and a sensitization operation is underway to eliminate the remaining Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists. The ISPR statement emphasized that the Pakistani security forces and law enforcement agencies are resolute in their efforts to eradicate terrorism.
The statement also mentioned that the National Action Plan is being enforced under the authorization of the Federal Apex Committee, and the anti-terrorism operation will continue until the complete elimination of foreign-backed terrorism.
In a separate development, the Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarrar, announced that he would speak to the children of PTI founder Imran Khan over the phone on Eid day.
Meanwhile, the Indian airlines, which are registered in India, have been banned from operating in Pakistan for another month, while the Indian aircraft will remain grounded in the Pakistani airspace until April 24, according to a notice by the Ministry of Aviation.
In a significant development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, over the phone, and the two leaders exchanged Eid greetings. The Ministry of Interior announced that multiple cases have been registered against Bilawal Khan in various police stations, including charges of murder, robbery, and land grabbing.
The Balochistan Chief Minister has condemned the exploitation of Baloch women by terrorists, while the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court has granted an exemption to Alima Khan from attending the court.
In a separate incident, the Rangers arrested seven members of a topi gang in the Korangi area of Karachi during an operation.
In a significant statement, the DG ISPR revealed that the Afghan Taliban had used drones against Pakistan, which were provided by India.
