Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the US of pressuring India to halt its Russian oil imports for several months. He claimed that the US expected European countries to support its stance against Russia in exchange for their backing in the ongoing conflict against Iran. However, two weeks after the conflict began, the US is now asking the world to buy Russian oil, according to Araghchi.
The Iranian Foreign Minister criticized the US policy on Russian oil in a statement posted on social media platform X. He stated that the US had pressured India to stop importing oil from Russia for several months. However, after two weeks of conflict, the White House is now trying to persuade the world to buy Russian oil.
Araghchi also criticized European countries, saying they had expected the US to support them against Iran in exchange for their backing on the Russian issue. However, Iran has proven that it can control global oil prices and even block the movement of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite ongoing challenges, Iran has managed to maintain the public services without significant disruption, according to Health Minister Masoud Mirmohammadi. The Iranian government’s spokesperson reported that of the 43,000 damaged homes, 36,500 were residential units. The details of the 106 children and 65 women among the fatalities in the 15-day US and Israeli attacks on Iran have been revealed.
