In a statement, the President said that Afghanistan had pledged not to provide safe havens to terrorist groups, but instead, it is now provoking a major military power in the Islamic world. Zardari stated that on one hand, Afghanistan is seeking dialogue with its neighboring countries, while on the other hand, it has crossed the red line by targeting civilians.
Pakistan, he said, is committed to promoting peace and stability in the region, while the illegal and terrorist Taliban government has put itself in a precarious situation by crossing this red line. Security sources revealed that operations under the code name “Anger for Justice” will continue until the desired objectives are achieved.
The President expressed his wishes for the speedy recovery of children and civilians injured in the drone strikes from the wreckage of the drone. He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces and security agencies are fully committed to defending the country and protecting its citizens.
