The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to take legal action against Zimbabwean cricketer Blessing Muzarabani for violating the terms of his agreement with the board. Muzarabani had signed a deal with the Indian League during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11, which was set to represent Islamabad. This development comes after the PCB took legal action against South African cricketer Quinton de Kock last year for violating the ICC’s spirit of the game.
Additionally, the PCB has officially reprimanded Pakistani batsman Salman Ali Agha for breaching the ICC’s Code of Conduct Level 1, and has imposed a one demerit point on him. Agha had been involved in a heated exchange with Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan in the second one-day match against Bangladesh.
The PCB’s Director of High Performance, Aaqib Javed, expressed his disappointment at the team’s performance in the T20 World Cup, stating that they were unable to perform to their expectations. Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, on the other hand, is optimistic about the upcoming season, citing numerous events that the team will participate in.
In a separate incident, Pakistani cricketer Hussain Talat suffered a dislocated shoulder while fielding in the second one-day match against Bangladesh. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is a doubt for the upcoming PSL season 11 due to a shoulder injury.
