Pakistan’s star fast bowler Zaman Khan has been ruled out of the National T20 tournament due to a shoulder injury. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Khan suffered the injury during matches in Peshawar and Faisalabad, causing his shoulder joint to dislocate. The PCB has directed Khan to report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore for further evaluation. A medical panel will be formed to plan his recovery and rehabilitation.
The PCB has stated that Khan’s fitness recovery is expected to take four to six weeks. The fast bowler was part of the Quetta Gladiators’ team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11. Khan’s participation in the PSL is now uncertain due to his injury.
Meanwhile, the PCB has taken notice of the incident involving Pakistani batter Salman Ali Agha during the Hundred League match, where West Indian cricketer Gudakesh Motie and Zimbabwean cricketer Blessing Muzarabani have withdrawn from the PSL 11. Agha was run out by Bangladesh’s Mehdi Hasan during the second ODI, sparking controversy.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially reprimanded Salman Ali Agha for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct and has imposed a one demerit point. The PCB has stated that Agha’s actions were unacceptable and will be taken seriously.
The PCB has also announced that it will take legal action against Zimbabwean cricketer Blessing Muzarabani for his actions during the PSL 11. Muzarabani had allegedly used abusive language towards Agha.
